THE Oppenheimer
Campaign

The epic Oppenheimer social digital experience originated with a countdown well over a year before Oppenheimer’s official release and developed into the gorgeous bespoke site that endures today. Throughout the campaign, a multitude of social assets were designed and featured on official channels complementing the movie’s success and multiple re-releases.

Responsibilities included support and assistance with building countdown site wireframes, Los-Alamos site asset management, and producing social assets for the official @oppeheimermovie handle.

The 12 month teaser countdown.

Learnings
& pROCESS

Being a part of the campaign over a year out from the release of the film subjected the site to many iterations and branding pivots over time, requiring constant attention as new assets and ideas came from the client. Ensuring the site maintained a consistent brand identity that would later align with social content produced during the film’s release was an important aspect of the campaign. Designing the countdown site to be minimal was imperative to both the film’s brand and a method of future-proofing it for any larger changes throughout the year-long duration.

When assisting on the second phase of the site post countdown, the Los-Alamos section, the campaign evolved into a more elevated design direction in order to capture the nuance of the film and its characters beyond its bolder historical facets.
