HALL OF LEGENDS
Microsite & Hub

All that glitters is gold, within the League of Legends: Hall of Legends induction celebration. Featuring the game’s highest-performing competitive player “Faker.” Oozing with premium gold this multi-faceted experience offers players a chance to admire a legend in the making and spend like one, with the most expensive in-game offering in the game’s history.

Responsibilities included developing in-game hub wireframes and UX, developing in-game hub UI, supporting web microsite development, and asset management.

In-Game HUB

Designed alongside the web microsite, the hub was formatted to fit the unique requirements of the in-game League client, transforming the lateral scroll into a horizontal experience prioritizing the bundles and game-related content.

Desktop
& Mobile Microsite

Designed as an elegant single-scrolling experience with an emphasis on the luxury and prestige of the event and its premium offerings.

Learnings
& pROCESS

Hall of Legends wasn’t a singular experience, it was designed to be elegant on all platforms including the unique in-game hub. Translating the look and feel of the microsite wasn’t a simple 1:1 transfer. The content presented to the viewer changed dramatically due to the context of it being within the game itself, with the client wanting to focus more on available game-related content rather than Faker’s inauguration. This required a reimagining of the experience’s flow and presentation in order to align with the sales-oriented goal and the HUB’s pre-existing restrictions.
